CLIMET GALA
Project Type: Poster Design, Coursework
Year: 2021 Medium: Adobe Photoshop A poster series exploring the relationship between fashion trends and climate change. As someone who enjoys fashion, I often think about how fashion trends thrive on clothing made fast and cheap, with the environment and overseas farmers and garment workers paying the ultimate price. Although clothing made with more traditional methods and higher quality materials is seen as the more eco-friendly alterative, they remain inaccessible to people of lower-income, and the cycle of fashion and environmental harm continues. For the main illustration, I gathered inspiration from traditional clothing worn in Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, India, and other Southeast Asian countries often named on "Made In-" clothing tags.
